At my university there is a parking lot on the east side of campus near a rite aid pharmacy which I park in regularly as it is close to the building which all of my classes are in. As I was driving out of this parking lot one day, I noticed something interesting and managed to secure photographic evidence of it. Observe:

I know the picture is too small to read the signs, but I'll tell you what they say and you can just believe me.
It is important to note that the right side of the picture is closer to the campus.
Now, the sign on the left says "RESERVED FOR A & S ASSISTANT DEAN"
The center sign is obviously a handicap parking sign, and interestingly enough, the right sign says "RESERVED FOR DEAN OF ARTS AND SCIENCE"
I don't know if you have come to the same conclusion as I have, but it hit me that there is a parking spot hierarchy! Apparently, handicapped people are more important than the assistant dean of the Arts and Science college but NOT more important than the dean of Arts and Science.
Very interesting....
